Special Events & Permits
Are you planning a wedding, competitive race, or any other large gathering where the venue is closed to the general public? Do you plan to advertise your event publicly, hire food vendors or charge a participation fee?
If you answered yes to any of these questions, then you will need a special event permit. The application for a special event permit (linked below) must be submitted at least one month prior to your event. Special use permit fees vary and are based on group size and other applicable fees.

The lodge and base buildings are closed to the public and not suitable for private events. Missoula County staff are currently prioritizing legacy public events like youth programs, races and outdoor camps.
Due to extremely limited infrastructure (no indoor spaces or running water), private events like weddings are limited to very basic and analog accommodations. Please also note that due to the public ownership of the park, it is not entirely possible to close the area to non-attendees.
