Local Rules of Practice
Local Rules
The Fourth Judicial District periodically updates its local rules and are reflected here. For efficiency and cost savings, the rules are published online. If you'd like a hard copy and are unable to print the rules, the Clerk of Court will print a copy for a nominal fee.
Please be aware of possible application of the Servicemembers Civil Relief Act (significantly rewriting the Soldiers and Sailors Civil Relief Act of 1940). Please pay particular heed to Section 201 et seq. Follow the link above to find specific provisions of the Act, or you can browse the Servicemembers Civil Relief Act, Simplified.
All updates to the Rules are highlighted. Please take the time to review these changes in the local rules.
Please be advised of the following changes in the delivery of services provided by the Clerk of District Court office due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Information will be updated as circumstances change.
